    Chris started his Law Enforcement career in 1977 with the Porter County Indiana Sheriff's Motor Possee, a Reserve unit for Search and Rescue.  He was the County Area 3 EMS director at the time.

    Later he moved to Westville where he became a Reserve Deputy Marshal, in 1986 became a full time Deputy, and served as Marshal from 1990 to 1996.  Fine served a short time with the New Carlisle PD.  In 1998, he became a Deputy Marshal at Kingsford Heights PD and has served as Marshal since 2009.

    Chris became an ILEA EVO Instructor in 1988 and serves as an ILEA Guest Instructor on a regular basis.  Fine is a graduate of the ILEA Police Executive Training Program.

    Chris was a Charter Member of the (former) Indiana Town Marshals Association and now a Charter Member of the Indiana Marshals' Association serving several board positions in both groups  .   Fine was awarded the Master Marshal status in April 2012.  He is a Life Member of the NRA and long time member of the Experemental Aircraft Association (EAA).   He served several board positions with the Indiana Blue Knights IV.

    Chris enjoys spending time with family, camping, motorcycling, and travel.


    Marshal Fine is currently Treasurer and Past-President of the Indiana Marshals’ Association and has attained the IMA Master Marshal designation.
